Job Summary

Support the design and development of new DRG based software solutions and process and analyze clinical data in the context of international DRG implementation projects

Support the software development team with expert knowledge of coding systems like ICD 9 and ICD 10, and various patient classification systems, including research and knowledge on regulatory changes in clinical classifications and reimbursement methodologies in an International context

Provide statistical expertise in the analysis of clinical data of in - and outpatient populations

Prepare and deliver presentations and trainings on regulatory, coding and reimbursement issues, as well as on innovative products and concept solutions to existing and potential clients, and the 3M HIS teams in International subsidiaries

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3+ year's healthcare related computer science experience working with patient classification systems and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in health economics, health care informatics, information systems/computer science, or proven long-term working experience in a health information management field i.e., hospital, consulting business, etc.

Knowledge of International patient classification systems and ICD 10 and/or experience in an International healthcare business

5+ year's healthcare related experience working with patient classification and data analysis

Strong mathematics, statistical, analytical thinking, project planning, and pattern recognition skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of health care data elements, ICD-9-CM coding and mapping, patient classification, data evaluation and analysis

Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of statistical software packages

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility for assignments

Second language, preferably Spanish
