Description

3M has an immediate opening for a 3M Purification Finance Manager. This position will be located in Meriden, CT.

Job Summary:

The 3M Purification (3MPI) Financial Manager will be responsible for protecting the financial health and integrity of the division, directly contribute to improving the division's worldwide results through pro-active and forward looking financial counsel and providing effective financial transaction management & processing oversight. The 3MPI Financial Manager consults with the division's global leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plans for complex market/manufacturing operation and develops financial business strategies and creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems.

Responsibilities:

* Consults with leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plans for 3MPI. Manage multiple disciplines within the Finance function, such as controlling, accounting, taxation, credit, audit, treasury, etc. Decisions are independently executed and limited by the objectives/guidelines of the business. Initiates and approves projects to continuously improve efficiency and competitiveness.
* Has direct responsibility for functional strategic planning, including establishing and managing the organization. Approves assigned programs and budget deviations as well as overall resources to meet business objectives.
* Management responsibility encompasses several work groups/departments including controlling, accounting, accounts payable, expense reporting and cash applications.
* Evaluates the accuracy of financial records and compliance with internal controls and applicable global financial standards. Ensures financial data integrity and accuracy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
* Minimum of 7 years of finance and/or accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance from an accredited university
* MBA from an accredited university
* CPA and/or CMA
