PRIMARY FUNCTION / PRIMARY GOALS / OBJECTIVES:
The primary goal of this position is to exceed sales goals for capital equipment, reagents and service revenue. The individual is assigned a geographic territory responsible for selling the Cell-Dyn Hematology product line to hospitals, commercial laboratories and Physician office labs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Responsible for account management of all customers in their assignment including current Cell-Dyn users and prospective buyers. The individual manages all aspects of the hematology sales cycle including product demonstrations, evaluations, technical presentations, proposals and final negotiations. Meet or exceed their sales, reagents, service, and budget goals. Direct and Lead the Key Account Sales Team for the CELL DYN Hematology product line.

COMMENTS:
Ability to manage without authority to achieve desired results
Field travel approximately 60%
Geographic Territory: New York Metropolitan Area including the five (5) Boroughs and Long Island, Southern Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey

ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
Responsible for representing Abbott Diagnostics and their products in a professional, forthright and ethical manner to exceed individual sales goals within corporate guidelines. All actions should be focused on total customer satisfaction. Skills/Experience Requirements Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
Key skill set: Sales, presentation, leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, negotiating, rapport building and problem solving skills.
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in science or business administration.
Significant Work Activities & Conditions Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
Percent of Travel 50+ %
