Position Description :

Microsoft Windows Operating Systems engineering and support. Working knowledge of Symantec Altiris or similar operating systems imaging experience. Hewlett Packard desktop and laptop systems integration.

Positions in this function review, analyzes, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale computer system. Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. This function provides expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing applications, and overall operating systems.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in engineering support of Microsoft Windows OS


• 3+ years experience using scripting tools (VB, SQL, etc)


• 3+ years experience with hardware support


• High school diploma/GED and at least 4 years operating system development experience or Bachelor's degree

Assets:

• Windows 7 support


• Advanced OS certification


• Altiris experience would be a plus


• Hardware manufacturer certification
