We're seeking a flexible self-starter with an investigative nature to fill a Provider Data Consultant business role on our Network Expertise and Policy team, Business and Systems Support team. In this role you would enjoy tremendous opportunity for growth, as well as the chance to be a recognized subject-matter-expert on healthcare provider data. You would also gain exposure to all areas of the company as you focus on the following responsibilities:




  • Performing business analysis for new provider process related initiatives and/or provider network migrations and integration

  • Providing subject matter expertise for NDB system enhancements

  • Creation and maintenance of NDB Configuration Rules for demographics, contracts, contract pointers, networks, pre-auth tables.

  • May define provider data setup and configuration rules for networks on Facets, NICE, Pulse or COSMOS

  • Provide business, operational and workflow expertise into provider related system enhancements for NDB and other systems, including use of this data by claim, care management and service systems

  • Involvement in writing of provider data configuration related policies and procedures; monitoring these documents through the development and approval process as part of operational implementation

  • Support system testing activities where warranted, as part of operational implementation of new processes or system changes as part of your team's role to verify accurate provider configuration

  • Lead cross functional business process design including development of process diagrams

  • Support reviews of training materials accuracy for projects. This may include creation of new materials or updates on occasion.

  • Speak at national calls to present system configuration rules or new initiatives or system changes to internal departments including Network Management, NCST, NDM, CCI or other healthcare operations staff

  • Troubleshoot provider data issues associated with NDB, Facets, Pulse, NICE, COSMOS and other systems which store provider data

  • Driving a diverse set of special projects to completion, identifying and engaging staff from impacted departments to create and implement solutions to issues



  • Willing to train qualified candidates

    Skills / Requirements


    Qualifications:



    3-5 years experience with healthcare provider data and its business usage is required

    NDB experience required

    Facets, COSMOS, NICE or Pulse experience a plus

    2 to 3 years experience in successfully managing one or more major projects, which integrates multiple business areas or systems.



    Prior writing experience is required, along with effective time management and presentation skills

    Willingness to handle a variety of different types of project assignments vs. a fixed role/function

    Detail oriented and analytic skills

    Strong business partner focus.

    Conceptual thinking capability

    Ability to prioritize in an environment of rapid change

    Solid organizational and interpersonal skills

    Self-starter; team player; quality minded; focused; committed; work independently

    Able to stay committed to long-term project goals

    Able to direct project outcome based on long term business objectives.

    Candidates must have Microsoft Office skills.

    Bachelor's degree preferred.
