Senior Project Manager I (PRM005)

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Define, manage and implement provider reimbursement related projects (technology solutions, new system implementation, business process changes, training, migrations, etc.) in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Manage a team that provides support around business issues, practices, procedures, new initiatives, requirements and develop creative best practice business/technical solutions.

  • Lead business areas with business requirement definition and translation into technical specifications and project plans for cross-functional projects.

  • Partner with IS staff in the development and approval of functional requirements and design documentation. Ensures sound business/technical strategies are employed. Manage the development of requirements, cost benefit and risk analysis and user acceptance test plans.

  • Lead the team on creation of operational process improvements or establishing new processes

  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Highlight areas of concern or needed assistance.

  • Track status of project timelines and milestones and communicates with Director and team members.

  • Responsible for overall quality review of project documentation.

  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.

  • Works with less structured, more complex issues.

  • Serves as a resource to others.

  • Employees in this position should have achieved certification in project management.


You're empowered to do your best by assisting with Operational Projects throughout the organization! Are you a subject matter expertise in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation or facilitation? Assist us with strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups as a Senior Project Manager to coordinate and complete projects, define performance and results and manage vendors and service providers. You'll investigate non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks, prioritize your work load and work on ad hoc projects as assigned. Certification or in process of Certification for Project Management required and previous experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) is a plus.

Skills / Requirements


Requirements:




  • 5+ years experience in the healthcare insurance industry with working knowledge of claims processing, eligibility, enrollment and case installation.



  • 5+ years experience in Project Management.



  • Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.



  • High school diploma or GED



Assets:



  • Bachelor's degree



  • RSA, Six Sigma and/or PMP preferred.
