I. General Description
This position reports to the Director of US International Tax Research & Planning and will work in close coordination with all functions within the Global Tax Team. This role will provide significant analytical support to the entire Team as they develop, design and implement tax efficient structures, cash repatriation strategies, transfer pricing policies, efficient structuring of business acquisitions/divestitures, tax accounting computations, and tax compliance preparation.
II. Overall Responsibilities
This position will provide support to all functions, including International Tax Planning, Tax Counsel, Transfer Pricing and Tax Reporting and Compliance.
The responsibilities would consist of:
* Supporting tax reporting and compliance teams on completion of US compliance, including US international tax compliance, and tax accounting as well as assisting the consolidations team on completing the global tax accounting process;
* Providing support and assisting in the identification, development and implementation of tax efficient financing and repatriation structures; monitoring current and future structures for compliance with local laws, legal requirements, transfer pricing, etc.;
* Providing support on business acquisition/divesture activities;
* Assisting in tax controversies; and
* Providing support to the transfer pricing function in developing policies and insuring adherence to documentation requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 4-5 years tax experience with Big 4 International Tax Practice and/or large multi-national manufacturing or service company.
Experience with international outbound, inbound, local foreign and transfer pricing compliance and/or planning issues preferred. Knowledge of FTC and E&P planning a plus.
Exceptional business communication skills with ability to effectively relate tax issues to non-tax personnel; track record of effectively managing a team; strong consensus builder and team player; especially skilled at communicating with upper management on a range of broad business plans.
Preferred combination of accounting and legal background or another related advanced degree; CPA certification is a strong plus.
