JOB DESCRIPTION:
* The Vice President of Life Marketing has responsibility for developing and leading execution of product marketing strategies and communication plans for AXA Equitable's life insurance business to drive profitable sales through both our captive Retail system and selected Third Party Distributors.
* A high profile position, the individual partners with senior management across the company to develop product story positioning, launches, campaigns and selling systems.
* Position is considered the creator of all messaging pertaining to the life business for AXA Equitable and must ensure consistency throughout the organization.
* Manages a department of 19 and a budget of approximately 2.6M+.
Tasks required for this position include:
* Partner with senior leaders throughout the AXA Equitable life business (including sales, career, product, service, underwriting and risk management) to identify needs, generate ideas and develop product positioning and materials.
* Oversee development and maintenance of all life insurance collateral materials and web presence.
* This includes client and producer-facing materials for all distribution channels.
* Individual also responsible for managing marketing for in-force business.
* Establish and implement product launch plans for all channels. Collaborate with business units across AXA (including product, external communications, sales, retail sales and marketing, third party sales) for an integrated launch.

* Establish and implement comprehensive life communications strategies for all channels and for internal and external audiences.

* Supervise and coordinate content and logistics for key meetings, including annual wholesaler meetings and large meetings with key distribution channels and clients
* Manage and coordinate the internal communications with regards to communicating information on new product releases
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10+ years experience within a life insurance environment in a dedicated role designing and implementing corporate-wide marketing programs for life insurance products. Note that this role is not a sales or branch management function.

* Local candidates to Farmington/Hartford, CT are strongly preferred.

* Vast understanding of life products regarding production, ideation, research, creativity, legal components and final product output
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing plans, collaterals and high profile meetings
* Ability to take sophisticated financial concepts and create clear, simplified communications
* Accomplished persuasive writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
* Ability to present ideas and marketing plans to management and provide effective training to internal audiences.
* Analytical skills and ability to understand data and results and make appropriate recommendations
* Ability to establish product plans, timelines, priorities and deadlines
* Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a staff of creative professionals
* Ability to liaison and partner with internal departments to launch initiatives
* The successful candidate must obtain a Series 6 & 26 within 6 mos following start.
